It’s been many years now since my time in campus ministry, but I have such deep and fond memories of being a part of the AFES family and I’m so encouraged by the stories I continue to hear of the work that is being done to help students come to faith and deepen their walk with Christ.

As I know from personal experience, campus ministry is a dynamic and wonderful ministry, but as you also know, it can come with its share of complexities, emotional demands, and spiritual weight.

Ministry is filled with deep joy, and it can also be complex, demanding, and at times, isolating. As you pour yourself into serving students—walking alongside them in faith, leadership, and discipleship—who is walking alongside you?

Professional Pastoral Supervision is here to support you.

Supervision isn’t about assessment or performance review. It’s a pastoral space — a confidential, structured time for you to reflect, process challenges, and be strengthened for the work God has for you to do.

For those serving in university ministry, where pastoral care, leadership, and personal faith intertwine so closely, supervision provides:

  • A Safe Space to Reflect – Ministry can feel isolating, but the Bible doesn’t call us to do it alone. Supervision offers a trusted, pastoral presence—someone to listen, encourage, and journey with you.

  • Spiritual and Emotional Well-being – Supervision helps protect against burnout and compassion fatigue, ensuring you can continue serving with energy, joy, and a heart full of faith.

  • Sharpening Skills and Discernment – Through reflection and conversation, supervision strengthens self-awareness, equips you for wise decision-making, and deepens your pastoral effectiveness.

  • Accountability and Integrity – Having a space to process challenges, leadership, and relationships ensures you are serving in a way that is faithful, sustainable, and life-giving.

Supervision is pastoral care for those who give pastoral care. It’s a way to have space to reflect, gain insight and clarity, and move forward with purpose for yourself, as you serve and guide others.

If this sounds like something that could strengthen and sustain your ministry, I’d love to support you in this way.

May God continue to equip and encourage you as you serve students in His name.

Grace and peace,
Jodi
